Technical Theatre is a course designed to provide students with a basic understanding of the aesthetics and practical application of all phases of production from a technical perspective. This would include the study of all visual aesthetics, physical theatre, scenic design, lighting, sound engineering, and backstage organization. Production work is required. This course requires 20 tech service hours outside of class where students apply these skills in productions/events in and around campus. Enrollment in this course provides the opportunity to be involved in all of the performing arts curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities.
