ASD believes that a dynamic program of student athletics is vital to the educational development of the whole child, while offering opportunities to serve and strengthen the community.

The ASD athletics program celebrates a successful legacy and world-class facilities. The Athletics Department offers interscholastic athletics programs and after school sports for upper-elementary, middle, and high school students; the Physical Education (P.E.) Department leads PreK-12 physical education courses, in-school intramural competitions and special events such as Sports Days. Interscholastic athletic programs offer students the opportunity to experience the educational benefits of athletic competition while developing lifelong values. Sportsmanship, integrity, and respect are the foundations of character for ASD student-athletes.

Interscholastic Competition

ASD is a member of the Middle East South Asia Conference (MESAC). Junior Varsity and Varsity teams travel the region to compete against other member schools based in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, UAE; Doha, Qatar; Muscat, Oman; and New Delhi, India. Participation in MESAC presents student-athletes to compete in other Middle East countries.

A Supportive Community

A Supportive Community

Parent volunteers are actively engaged in support of ASD student athletes.

The ASD Booster Club is responsible for supporting and encouraging ASD athletes and coaches as well as fostering school spirit within the community. Booster volunteers participate in a variety of ways including organizing concessions for ASD hosted tournaments, selling spirit merchandise, helping to organize the seasonal recognition events and raising funds to support scholarships and the athletics program.
