PE and Health 10 is a semester-long course that offers a balanced program that will offer individual pursuits, sport & games, fitness, and health. The goal of this course is to provide an opportunity (choices) for students to advocate for a stream of learning that best suits their interests and long-term goals. This course will help students further develop their movement skills, physical literacy, responsible behaviors, and their ability to make informed choices to support their health and well-being. Students will select experiences from a wide-range of activity offerings that will help develop their understanding, motivation, and competencies to be active for life. Health classes will focus on nutrition and growth and development (sexuality) to support a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
