Design and Innovation

The Design and Innovation course offerings provide students with interdisciplinary learning opportunities that explore the relationship between technology, art, and engineering disciplines. These courses qualify and meet the graduation requirements for art, technology, and also electives. The course offerings foster student agency to study, explore, and personalize their learning based on their interests and passions.

In addition to the semester and year-long course offerings listed below, students have the opportunity to enroll in Core Design and Innovation studies. In these skill based courses, students choose a module of focus over the course of a semester. Students will be exposed to the concepts, knowledge, and skills within each module.

These classes are co-taught by multi Design and Innovation faculty to maximize student choice during each semester. Students build real life understandings and techniques over the course of each module. During this process, faculty take the role of content expert—directly teaching concepts, knowledge, and skills within a module’s area of focus.
