Individualized Learning Strategies is a course that uses specially designed instruction to meet individualized learning goals specific to each student’s needs enrolled in the course. Individualized Learning Strategies provides opportunities to support skills and content modified from subject area classes the students are enrolled in, on an as-needed basis. Individualized Learning Strategies is also an opportunity for instruction towards functional and life skills including organization, self-advocacy and confidence, responsibility, communication skills, and resilience. The overall aim of Individualized Learning Strategies is to foster the growth and success of lifelong learning for every student, and attaining their greatest level of independence.
