The Phil Ridley and Ahne Crawford-Ridley Scholarship

The Phil Ridley and Ahne Crawford-Ridley Scholarship is an endowed scholarship fund to recognize both Phil's and Ahne's unique commitments to the ASD school community. The scholarship supports ASD students along their educational journeys and will be awarded on an annual basis to a deserving senior student.

You may make a contribution in USD to honor Ahne and Phil for their twenty-one years of service to our students, our parents and colleagues, and the broader Dubai community.  No gift is too small.

About Phil and Ahne

For over 20 years, Phil and Ahne worked tirelessly to support our community taking on leadership roles, mentoring students, and generally setting an example of how to give to, and support our community.  Ahne; serving as an integral member of the sixth-grade team as social studies and drama teacher and was a sponsor to countless sixth-grade trips to Greece. In addition, Ahne coached junior-varsity girls’ softball and supported students through ASD Live, Middle School Variety Shows, One-Act Plays and served as the choreographer to many of the musicals.

As a member of the High School faculty, Phil taught Theater Production, Acting I, Acting II, Technical Theater, and Public Speaking.  Phil has served as the Chair of the High School Arts Department, directed countless musical productions, co-directed spring plays, led a number of London and Nebraska Theatre trips and MESAC student fine arts trips, and served as the Theater Manager at both the Jumeirah and Al-Barsha campuses.  

At the conclusion of the 2020-2021 school year, Ahne and Phil will be returning to Canada.
