Meet the TeaM

Craig Tredenick, Director of Admissions & Enrollment

Craig Tredenick joined the ASD staff in 2018.  He comes to ASD from Fort Worth, TX where he served as the Director of Enrollment Management at All Saints' Episcopal School.  Craig is a certified Admission and Enrollment Professional and has presented internationally on enrollment management and leadership.  His wife, Erica, is a also member of the ASD community.  Craig and Erica welcomed their daughter, Charlie, in August of 2017.

Camilla Oberg, MS/HS Registrar

Camilla Oberg, an ASD alum, has been part of the ASD community since 2006. As the Middle School and High School Registrar, Camilla provides Grades 6 - 12 new and prospective families with support and understanding to help with admissions processes and ease international and local transitions. Camilla’s three children, born in Bangkok and Dubai, attend ASD, and her husband is also an ASD alum. A third-culture child herself, Camilla attended schools in Sweden, Dubai, Austria and the US; and speaks English, Swedish and German.

Maria Peralta, ES Registrar

Maria Peralta brings over 18 years of international school experience as a Registrar and Admissions Specialist to ASD. Maria is a certified Admissions and Enrollment Professional. She spent several years living in the US and settled in a former US naval base in the Philippines before coming to Dubai. Having been educated in American and international schools herself, Maria offers new families looking for an American education in an international setting guidance and support throughout the K1-5 admissions process as Elementary School Registrar.

Maha Shoukry, Database Administrator/KHDA Liaison

Maha Shoukry, bilingual in English and Arabic, brings international school experience to her position as a Database Administrator in the Admissions Office. She works as a liaison with the Dubai Government’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and has been part of the ASD community since 2002. Her two children graduated from ASD in 2007 and 2010.

Laura Palomo, Registrar Support

Laura Palomo has just recently joined the admissions department as the Testing Coordinator and Registrar Support. She is well acquainted with American schools internationally, having been raised in Venezuela and Singapore. Laura is new to this position, but a familiar face in ASD.  Before starting her family, she was a K1 teacher here at ASD in 2008, and currently has three children attending this school.  Laura is pursuing another Masters to become an educational diagnostician, and further her studies and knowledge in diagnosing and assessing students.

Lara Rabia Mustapha, Admissions Support

Lara Rabia Mustapha joined the admissions department at ASD in August 2014. Lara is a Canadian citizen with a Lebanese background. She moved to Dubai in 2011, making it her 7th move in 14 years! Lara hopes to make Dubai her home for a long time. Lara's two daughters currently attend ASD.

The Admissions Office is located in the Administrative Building, ground floor, beside main reception. Admissions is open Sunday - Thursday during the school year; closed on weekends (Friday and Saturday) and public holidays.

Visiting hours are 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Sunday - Thursday. Visits after 12:00 p.m. are by appointment only.
