Middle States Association of Colleges & Schools (MSA)

ASD is one of over 3,000 schools, school districts and educational institutions in the United States and over 85 countries, that are accredited members of the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS). ASD was first accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools in 1976. The reaccreditation process takes place every seven years, with ASD’s most recent re-accreditation in 2013.

MSA accreditation provides ASD with the knowledge and processes for implementing school improvement and achieving higher levels of student performance.

College Board

College Board

The College Board, a non-profit organization that connects students to college success and opportunity. The College Board helps prepare students for a successful transition to college through services in college readiness and success including the SAT and Advanced Placement Program.

Beginning 2014-2015 ASD offers the College Board AP Capstone Diploma as a High School academic program. One of only a few hundred participating schools around the world, the program is built on the foundation of two courses, the AP Seminar and AP Research and is designed to complement and enhance the in-depth, discipline-specific study provided through AP courses and cultivate curious, independent, and collaborative scholars.

Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools (NESA)

The Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools (NESA) is a non-profit association of more than 100 private, independent American/international schools in North Africa, the Middle East and South and Southeast Asia. Based on best practices of American and international education, NESA facilitates opportunities for teachers and administrators to attend conferences and training institutes to collaborate and learn. ASD teachers and administrators attend these annual events to reinforce ASD’s commitment to student learning and high-quality professional learning.

MESAC

Middle East South Asia Conference (MESAC)

ASD is affiliated with the Middle East South Asia Conference (MESAC), an athletic and academic conference consisting of six schools in the Middle East and India. The conference was formed in 2010 for the purpose of creating a more competitive medium for athletic and academic competitions compared to the conferences predecessor, EMAC. Events are hosted at one of the conference's six schools in India, Qatar, Oman, and the UAE.

University of Northern Iowa

University of Northern Iowa

ASD partners with the University of Northern Iowa to meet the needs of faculty and staff interested in graduate degree programs. UNI has been involved in international education through their recruiting systems for many years and has a very keen understanding of the educational needs of the international teacher.

AmCham

AmCham Dubai

ASD is a member of AmCham Dubai which organizes events in partnership with key public and private stakeholders from the U.S., the local region, and internationally. AmCham Dubai's goal is to strengthen commercial ties between the U.S. and the U.A.E., and offer exceptional value and support services to its members.
