The ASD Creative Arts program provides a variety of opportunities for students to enroll in electives that help to cultivate a lifetime appreciation, enjoyment, and love of performing and visual arts. Electives include dance, music, visual arts, drama, choir, and band. Students also have the opportunity to participate in after school, extra-curricular activities such as performing for the community in concerts, musicals, plays, variety shows, art shows and more!

ASD is a member of the Association for Music in International Schools (AMIS). AMIS promotes excellence in the arts and provides students an opportunity refine their skills and to collaborate with students from around the world. ASD students travel to Europe, Asia and in the Middle East to participate in choir, band and orchestra festivals at various levels.
Creative Arts students participate in the Middle East South Asia Conference (MESAC) Fine Arts Festival and Debate and Forensics competitions. Each year students travel around the region to display their art, collaborate with other international students and compete in various disciplines of performing arts and debate with schools from India, Oman, Qatar, and the UAE.
The ASD Theatre department is a member of the Educational Theatre Association. The Educational Theatre Association offers students a one-of-a-kind, weeklong festival experience where theatre students from around the world meet over the summer at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. The festival features workshops presented by theatre professionals, individual and group performances, programs for technical theatre students, and opportunities to audition for college admission and scholarships.
