Welcome to the American School of Dubai (ASD) Elementary School! Excellent learning opportunities, valuable activities and lasting friendships await you at ASD Elementary School. We strive to nurture and develop students from diverse backgrounds and experiences who will make a difference in their communities and their worlds. ASD is a school known for close and enduring relationships between students and teachers, and the Elementary School values the home-school partnership with you as parents.
The Elementary School provides a warm and caring atmosphere where students collaborate constructively, think creatively, reason critically, and communicate effectively.
The program includes a combination of core subjects taught in homeroom along with classes taught by specialists including arabic langauge, art, music and physical education. Library and computer technology skills are integrated into the homerooms. Small class sizes allow students to get to know their teachers and classmates easily. The Elementary School is an exciting place to be after school as well. Students in Grades 1-5 have access to after-school activities. These activities include sports, arts and languages.
I have been the Elementary School Principal at ASD since 2012. From 2009-2012, I served as the Deputy Principal of the Middle School at Singapore American School (SAS), and the Associate Principal and educator at the Hong Kong International School from 2002-2009. The beginning of my international school career began at the Cairo American College. I am committed to values shared leadership to promote a positive, collaborative and trusting environment for students to learn and teachers to grow.
