U14 Boys Soccer in Last Minute Loss to UAS

The Falcons played the UAS Scorpions on Wednesday in what was a very close game with some great goals by both teams. However, the Scorpions scored a last minute goal and sealed their victory 4-3 against ASD.

JV Boys Soccer in Win Over UAS Scorpions

The JV Boys Soccer team was thrilled to play on home turf Monday. The Falcons new formation and center back gave the offense the opportunity to score. The JV Boys dominated the pitch against the Scorpions and ended the game with a 3-0 victory.

Varsity Girls and Boys Basketball Defeat UAS

In an impressive away game, both our Varsity Boys and Girls teams found themselves in great games that set the tone for this weekend's ECC finals. With both teams coming away with a win, our Varsity Girls took control of their offense, posting 55 points against the Scorpions defense and only allowing 18 points during regulation time. The Varsity Boys team found itself headed into the fourth quarter down 10 points, but determined to secure a higher seed leading into the ECC Championships to be played this weekend at ACS. The Boys dug deep, buckled down on defense, and went on a fourth quarter run that saw them win 43-39.

Varsity Boys Soccer in Tough Game vs. AISA

This Monday our Varsity boys continued to show promise and demonstrated their ability to come together and battle out tough situations. In a 4-4 draw, the Boys battled back from an early AISA lead to even up the score, entering the last 25 minutes of the game. Following a red card challenge that left them short handed for the remainder of the game, the boys fell to a 4-3 situation and then equalized and played hard to keep a balanced scorecard.

In an exciting evening, our Wrestling teams honored their Senior Athletes, Senior Athlete Parents, and witnessed some live action wrestling.  For a number of our students, this was a great way to put together all that they have learned over a tough season of training. The evening saw some very close matches and impressive displays of sportsmanship and teamwork.

Varsity Girls Soccer in Solid Win over AISA

In our last regular game of the season, all team members were finally healthy and eligible to play. The Falcons' defense was solid and the Girls controlled every aspect of the midfield, while our forwards aggressively attacked the AISA goal. By the end of the first half, the Girls were up 2-0.  The second half proved tough for the AISA team. By the end of the game, ASD scored another 2 goals, with one of our players achieving a hat-trick and a 5th goal going in shortly afterward for a final score of 5-0.

The ASD Lady Falcons took on the UAS Scorptions on Monday, playing the best soccer they have played all season. Controlling the ball and moving up the field towards the goal, the girls were calm, cool, and collected as they scored 8 goals. The defensive line also played a strong game and shut the Scorpions out entirely for an 8-0 win.

U14 Soccer Boys in Loss to DIA Wolves

The U14 Boys played DIA on one of the windiest days of this year. The weather conditions proved challenging for both teams, but in the end, the Boys lost 4-0 to DIA.
