Ultimate frisbee, dodgeball, scavenger hunts—community sports day raises over DHS 50,000 for ASD-supported children’s charities.

ASD rolled out its 6th annual Dubai Ultimate Charity Event (DUCE) this past weekend. The daylong event raised over AED 50,000 to benefit SEENAH, Little Wings, Kids for Wish Kids, Room to Read, and ASD Week Without Walls service projects in Tanzania and northern Thailand.

DUCE’s main event, the Ultimate Frisbee Team Tournament, brought some of the best players in the region to ASD to compete for the coveted DUCE championship trophy. The players later joined in a friendly competition with several ASD teams made up of faculty, parents, and students.

There was also plenty on offer for families, including a Family Fitness event featuring Tae Kwon Do, Pilates, Zumba, and more; scavenger hunts and face painting; dodgeball championships for students, parents, and teachers; and a Cup Stacking Tournament in which participants could put their speed and motor skills to the test.

The array of amazing raffle prizes up for grabs, ranging from a complimentary one night stay for two at one of Dubai’s most exclusive hotels to state-of-the art electronics, added to the fun.
